Ella4Life your Virtual Personal Assistant for home and on the road

Biomedical Engineering Department is proud to announce start of the international „Ella4Life your Virtual Personal Assistant for home and on the road” project. The project is realized according to „AAL 2017 Call – AAL packages/Integrated solutions – Packages integrating different solutions based on ICT to support active, healthy and independent living of older adults ” European programme.
Working on the project are the SME Virtask (Netherlands)-Lider, LiveLife (Netherlands), the SME Medicine Men (Netherlands), Achmea Zorgverzekeringen (Netherlands), the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics GUT(Poland), Muflon (Poland), the Ana Aslan International Foundation (Romania), Vicino Luzern (Switzerland), the Think Thank and Research Centre IHomeLab and the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences (Switzerland).
The objective of the Project Ella4Life is to help older people – healthy or with a chronic disease or mental condition – stay healthier and live a more pleasant life, independent and safe. At home on a tablet and ‘on the road’ on a smartphone or – watch. Ella will support and encourage people to adapt a healthy lifestyle. Users will be more self-supporting and independent of professional healthcare, what will result in cost reduction and efficiency. Ella4Life is the integration of Emma of Medicine Man, Anne of Virtask and specially developed sensor technology (eChair, eBathtub) from the Gdańsk University of Technology.
